A motor vehicle accident involving multiple vehicles resulted in the death of one driver Monday morning, April 29, 2019.

According to WGXA.tv, "around 6 a.m., a GMC Envoy...and a Dodge Caliber, driven by 36-year-old Rebecca Dates, were traveling south on SR-25...[Rebecca] Dates was slowing to turn left onto Smiley Hall Road from SR-25, [the GMC Envoy] struck the rear of the car with its front." The impact caused the Dodge Caliber to enter into the path of a Chevy Impala driven by James Wright, "which then resulted in a head-on collision," according to the news report. Rebecca Dates was fatally injured in the crash. Her four children, who were in the car at the time of the accident sustained injuries, "[t]hree of the children received only minor injuries...the fourth child is in serious condition," according to WGXA.tv. "[James] Wright, from Jesup, was taken to Memorial Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries," WJCL.com reports.
