A motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles left multiple people injured, Monday, June 24, 2019.


According to AJC.com, "[j]ust before 6:30 p.m. Monday, police were called to a two-vehicle crash that took place in the southbound lanes of Thompson Bridge Road."  Per the report, "[a driver] is accused of driving a 2016 Cadillac Escalade north on the road but crossing into southbound traffic, hitting a 2003 Ford Expedition head-on."  GainesvilleTimes.com is reporting, "[t]he Expedition’s driver and passenger, Gabriel Orozco Suarez, 53, and Lisandro Hernandez, 37, both of Gainesville, respectively, received serious but not life-threatening injuries."  Another passenger in the Expedition, Cesar Martinez, of Gainesville, suffered minor injuries.  According to the news story, all occupants of the Expedition were taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center.


The Cadillac Escalade driver was reportedly arrested and charged with driving under the influence and failure to maintain lane, according to the media outlets.
