An accident claimed the life of a bicyclist early Wednesday morning, July 17, 2019.  According to Fox5Atlanta.com, "[i]t happened around 5 a.m. on Roswell Road near Trowbridge Road." Per the report, "a woman who was driving without a license struck and killed Marten Bijvank, 29, as he was pedaling on Roswell Road."  As reported by AJC.com, officers arrived to the scene around 5 a.m. and found the vehicle about 100 yards up the road from the accident. The driver of the vehicle "was taken into custody on charges of vehicular homicide, DUI and driving without a license" according to AJC.com.

The investigation is ongoing.
