An alleged DUI driver caused an accident that killed two people Saturday night, July 20, 2019.
As reported by AJC.com, "[o]fficers responded to the deadly crash at about 11:30 p.m."
According to the report, a Chevrolet SUV was traveling west on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, that driver ran a red light at Bolton Road, striking a Toyota SUV.
Two passengers in the Chevrolet were killed, one died on the scene and one died at Grady Memorial Hospital.
The occupants of the Toyota were not seriously injured. Per the report, the driver of the Chevrolet "was later arrested on multiple charges, including two counts of first-degree vehicular homicide, one count of failure to obey a traffic control device and one count of DUI."
