An accident involving two vehicles Sunday evening, July 21, 2019, caused the death of one person and injured another person.

As reported by WRBL.com, the accident happened around a mile from the Muscogee County line on River Road in Harris County, Georgia.

A driver attempted to pass another vehicle on a double yellow line and struck another vehicle head-on on River Road.

The driver attempting the pass was killed in the head-on collision, the driver of the other car was injured and transported to Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown campus, according to the report.

Georgia State Patrol is investigating the crash.
